1) Use MacStock on a multi-user system. On a networked system, a user could enter new photos while other users are doing photo searches, printing labels, etc.
2) Use MacStock as an individual photographer or an agency with an unlimited number of photographers. Each photographer can use a unique system of coding including customized headers for each code segment.
3) Have MacStock automaticaly increment segments of the photo code number - keeping separate track of the next available number for each different photographer.
4) Mark photo dupes or similars on printed labels, (using your pick of indicator - some marking each dupe with unique dupe number) without having to create new records for each copy. All copies retain the same main ID # (Photo Stock Number.)
5) Enter a series of photos that are somewhat similar without having to type in anything other than changes from the previous photo.
6) Print a list of all photos with code numbers, caption-descriptions, etc.
7) Do a quick "keyword" photo search using any word within the caption, description, or note fields.
8) Print photo labels for 35mm slides. Two, three, or four labels are printed for each photo - including a caption, photo number, copyright notice, credit line, model release info., co. name and address, bar codes, etc. Temporary labels are posted, on demand, from photo entries. Edit any label before printing, or add custom labels for photos that have not been previously entered.
9) Tell MacStock to print caption labels on 4 OR 5 lines.
10) Print labels for b/w prints or large format transparencies, including "Address/Rights" labels.
11) Print photo labels on a partly used sheet of labels. Tell MacStock on which line to begin printing.
12) Access "Help Topics" whenever you are in the program.
13) Call Photo Agora with questions, at any time.
14) Record a new photographer and decide whether to use one or two photo codes for each photo. You can elect to use both the photographers original photo coding system AND your own.
15) Show individual photographer statistics by clicking on buttons to bring up lists of photos, sales, photos held, etc.
16) Type the beginning letters of any word in an existing caption and have a matching caption fill in automatically. Use a pop-up menu if you want another choice.
17) Use the 16 MacStock photo categories which contain up to 50+ sub-categories. Customize these categories and sub-categories to fit your own photo strengths.
18) Display a list of "subjects" (items, locations, ideas, etc. that you have photographed or may want to photograph.) Have the list sorted in order of your own customized "priority or status number." Double-click on a subject line in the list, then click on a button to show a list of all previously entered photos for that subject.
19) Assign to any photo, a dollar value that is different from the default value you have entered on the "Preferences" form.
20) Do a photo search and view by lines of text, which can be customized to include six columns of information, from the following fields: Caption-Description, Photo Stock #, Neg./Code #, Photographer #, Rating #, Date Taken, HVS (Horizontal, Vertical, or Square format,) number currently IN stock and/or number currently OUT.
21) Use the photo entry form to record film/camera stats. for any photo. Assign a number or numbers in the "Group 1" or "Group 2" fields to identify this photo as belonging to a particular slide set, etc. Do a search to list all photos in one of these groups.
22) Search for photos using criteria such as "greed" (without using keywords.)
23) Do a complex search for photos such as: Vertical color photos taken in Vermont, during the winter, that include elderly men; and each photo must be in stock and have a technical rating of "6" or higher.
24) Let MacStock do two completely unrelated photo searches at the same time and combine all photos found on one list. For example, a search like the one listed above, PLUS horizontal photos of dogs.
25) Print a "Stock List" of unique photos that is automatically created as you enter new photo records.
26) Review a "Photo Inventory" list to see which photos are currently out of stock.
27) Make a photo entry and let MacStock figure out from previously entered Models, whether or not this photo should be marked as "Released."
28) Look at a list of photos that include a model you have recorded in the "Models" file.
29) Record a photo job where each photo has the same caption. Let MacStock automatically sequence photo numbers and print photo labels for each - yet store only one "job" record.
30) Catalog photo CDs and view a "thumbnail" of each image - either individually or as a group.
31) Import scanned images and attach to photo records. Store the actual image for an instant preview, or store only the "path" to where it is stored. Externally stored photos can also be previewed at the click of a button.
32) View a group of scanned images that are stored externally after doing a photo search. Images are loaded in a temporary file and viewed as thumbnails. Double-click to see the full image.
33) Search for a group of photos and have the photo list, which includes photo code numbers, captions-descriptions, etc., saved as a document. Sore the document within MacStock or externally.
34) Create multiple on-screen slide shows using any number of slides, automatically displayed in any order.
35) Do a search and view by thumbnails. Choose a form that shows either 21 or 80 thumbnails per page.
36) Import any document from any application and later search for documents by name, application, etc. View the first page of the document if the type is TEXT, PICT or EPS. To see more, or work on the document, double-click to launch the native application.
37) Record a note relating to any client. For contacts, click the radio button "TO" or "FROM." The note will be added to the top of the "Note History" list for this client along with the current date/time and the "To or From" info. View a list of client notes in order of the "last date modified" or in some other order.
38) Change a client number and have MacStock automatically update previously entered sales, invoices, jobs, delivery memos, etc. with the new number.
39) Print a client list with names, company, telephone numbers, etc.
40) Print address labels for any group of clients, and shipping labels with your logo.
41) Print address or shipping labels on a partly used sheet of blank labels. Just indicate on which label to start printing.
42) Print "Today's" address labels. As each letter, invoice or delivery memo is created, an address is added to a temporary address log - for printing labels in a batch. You won't get duplicate labels if more than one item is to be sent to the same client. Edit or add custom labels to this temporary list.
43) Record a "To Do" item relating to any client. Look at the "To Do" list to see which items need the quickest attention. Selectively mark "Done" and/or delete any item.
44) Send one of several types of delivery memos, and a list of photos to a client with or without doing a photo search.
45) Elect to have the dollar value (by default or assigned to each photo) appear on a delivery memo with each photo code number.
46) Create a customized page of "Terms and Conditions" for printing on the back of a delivery memo.
47) Create and insert your own letterhead graphic into the MacStock "Preferences" form - for use on a delivery memo.
48) Look at submission statistics for any client at the click of a button.
49) Review a report that shows how many photos (both b/w and color) have been sent out on consignment for the current year. Compare these figures (including averages and percentages) with those from previous years.
50) Search for a group of photos to be sent to a client on a delivery memo. View the searched photo list on screen. Edit the list, pull the photos from your files, and post the edited list automatically to a delivery memo. As photos are posted, inventories for each photo are decreased by one.
51) View a thumbnail page of images and select photos to be automatically placed on a delivery memo.
52) View a list of consignments that have not been returned. The list will let you know when the submission was sent, how many photos were sent/returned, when it is due back, etc.
53) Record a returned submission. As the submission photo list is deleted, the inventory for each photo is increased by one.
54) Create a record for a new client. MacStock will show you the next available client number for each of four custom client groups (you are not limited to four groups.)
55) View a list of ongoing" or "upcoming" photo needs, which also includes deadline and client info.
56) Let MacStock create a document from a searched/edited list. This document can be stored in MacStock and retrieved at another time for further editing or loading into a delivery memo.
57) Use the "Appointment/To Do Calendar." View by week, by month or in list form by "To Do" items. (A calendar showing items for "This Week" is always displayed after launching the program.)
58) Automatically schedule repeating calendar items. Items may be repeated by the week, month, or year.
59) Keep track of milage, work hours, and /or expenses using the calendar.
60) Be reminded via the calendar, that a submission is due back. MacStock automatically makes a "due back" calendar entry when photos are submitted.
61) Create a digital submission of low res images on a pdf file which includes caption, image number, company info. and rights.
62) Batch import a folder of images with along with any embedded "file info."
